So, we’ve done the hard work for you. With thousands of acres of skiable terrain to explore, these are the destinations you need to visit on your ski and snowboard trip to Pennsylvania.
Home to Pennsylvania’s highest vertical at 1,082 feet, 40 trails, glade skiing, and five terrain parks, there’s no denying Blue Mountain Resort is the ultimate winter playground. While the resort does lack ski-in/ski-out access, it does offer incredible après ski options and night skiing for extended fun.
Located on the summit of North Knob in the Endless Mountains, Elk Mountain Ski Resort offers 27 beginner, intermediate, and expert trails. Because Elk Mountain is a little further from Philadelphia and New York City than other ski resorts, prices tend to be more affordable and the slopes less crowded.
Conveniently located near Scranton, Philadelphia, and New York City, Montage Mountain is an excellent choice for your ski trip to Pennsylvania. While many runs at Montage Mountain are black diamonds, the area is family and beginner-friendly with areas dedicated to novice skiers and snowboarders.
With 166 acres of skiable terrain accessed by 39 trails, Camelback Resort is the largest ski resort in the Poconos. The resort offers world-class ski instruction for beginners along with challenging runs for more advanced riders. Camelback also boasts the largest snow tubing park with 42 dedicated snow tube lanes.
Located in the Allegheny Mountains, Blue Knob features the highest skiable mountain in Pennsylvania. Considering its high elevation, the resort offers some of the most challenging terrain in the state with glade skiing and a terrain park available, too. A nearby alpine village offers dining and accommodations after a day on the mountain.
