Northern Michigan’s premier ski resort, Boyne Mountain offers 60 runs across more than 400 acres. The resort also boasts seven terrain parks and the longest ski run in Michigan at 1.25 miles. For added fun off the slopes, Boyne Mountain features ice skating, horseback riding, ziplining, and a host of other activities.
While Crystal Mountain is a wonderful place to visit any season, winter is a special time of year. Largely regarded as the top family-friendly ski resort in Michigan, Crystal Mountain offers 58 trails, 27 of which are lit for night skiing. Off the mountain, enjoy luxurious accommodations and an on-site spa.
Mount Bohemia, a casual lake-side ski resort, offers the highest vertical drop in the midwest. The resort also boasts some of the longest runs in the state with more than 270 inches of untouched powder. While there are few dedicated runs for beginning skiers, intermediate and advanced riders will love the tree runs and intense backcountry.
Having been in operation for 80 years, there’s no doubt Pine Mountain Resort offers up an authentic ski experience. Since its initial opening in 1939, the resort has undergone massive expansions and renovations. Today, the resort boasts more than 30 trails, a terrain park, a ski jump, and loads of night skiing.
