Copper Colorado

The Terrain and Trails

Copper Mountain’s trails have a base height of 9,712 ft with a towering summit of 12,313 ft. There are 140 trails in total that cover a wide range of difficulty. Copper has 21% of the mountain devoted to beginner runs, 25% to intermediate, 36% advanced and 18% expert level areas. Copper Mountain also features a lengthy season ranging from early November to late April and within that season, the park sees over 300 inches of snow. Copper Mountain Training Facilities

Copper mountain is the real deal for riders looking for a test as it played previous past World Cup tours, championship races and is currently a preferred training venue for the United States downhill ski team largely in part because of the training facilities. Woodward Camp opened in 2009 and covers 20,000 square feet of space dedicated to terrain park and pipe progression. Not only is the space dedicated to advancement but it also focuses on safety by providing a controlled environment for every type of skier and snowboarder.

Copper Mountain also has an outstanding Ski & Ride School, which was once staffed by Olympic medalist Putzi Frandl. The school offers lessons for any type of skier or snowboarder, from adult group lessons to youth group lessons to competition and training programs – everyone is invited.

Activities
