The resort continues to reinvest in its facilities, so you’re sure to experience some of the most modern infrastructures in the ski world. Located in the Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing Range, Hotham is known as the “Powder Capital” of Australia. Treble Cone, one of the top ski resorts in New Zealand, features wide-open terrain, challenging vertical drops, and the nation’s highest annual snowfall. The trails at Treble Cone tend to lean more towards intermediate and expert. But, there are a handful of runs dedicated to beginners, too. Despite its convenient location and beautiful views of Lake Wanaka and Mt. Aspiring, Treble Cone tends to remain relatively uncrowded.
Thredbo offers substantial vertical drops and some of the longest ski runs in Australia. However, the resort is arguably most prideful of its varied terrain.
